While well versed in traditional jazz and classical guitar (bebop and post-bop), Richard Medel draws from a variety of American music forms such as jazz fusion, funk, soul, R&B and blues.
Medel's love of jazz and classical guitar has never blocked out his affection for popular music which he grew up with. It’s been a frequent wellspring throughout his career.
